The Colloquium will take place in the Main Building of the University of Glasgow, in the West End of the city. Glasgow is easily accessible from the other parts of the UK, Europe and the rest of the world through its airports and rail links.
Air
Glasgow is served by two international airports: Glasgow International (located 8 miles south west of the City Centre) and Glasgow Prestwick (located 32 miles south west of the City Centre). Both airports are served by various bus and taxis services. Additionally, Glasgow Prestwick has a convenient rail link to Glasgow Central Rail Station.
Rail
Glasgow City Centre is host to two major railway stations - Glasgow Central Station and Glasgow Queen Street Station. These stations make rail travel to Glasgow from the rest of Scotland and the UK a convenient option. Both are also situated in close proximity to the city's subway stations.
Subway, Taxis and Buses
Whilst Glasgow's West End (approximately 2 miles from the City Centre) where the University of Glasgow is situated is easily accessible through use of the City's plentiful buses and taxis, perhaps the most convenient means of transport is the subway system - the third oldest in the world. A journey from the Buchanan Street subway station in the City Centre to Hillhead station in the West End will take less than ten minutes and is both the cheapest and easiest way to get around Glasgow.
